A CONTRAPTION OF
THE PAST.
At the table
you hold
the slides
up to the light
you can see the images
through the grey
winter sky.
The dangerous countries
you worked in
the make shift
canvas tents
and the vast desert landscapes.
You said
later when it gets dark
you would
take the picture frame down
and share the memories
if the bulb doesn't
get too hot
and blow out.
